These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to every purchase and every use of the Urbaki Store at shop.urbaki.com (the “Store”). The Store is operated by URBAKI LLC, 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958, United States (“Urbaki”, “we”, “us”). By buying a product or using the Store, you agree to these Terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1. What we sell
All our products are digital. Nothing is shipped. We sell:
- Ebooks: downloadable PDF guides. Each ebook is a curated collection of 25 projects, with an illustrated page for each project, a direct link to the original pattern and two printable bonus guides.
- The Crochet Club: a monthly membership that delivers a weekly email with hand-picked crochet ideas.
Product descriptions, previews and images show the content of each product as accurately as we can. Mockups (for example a printed book or a tablet) are illustrations of the digital file.
2. About the patterns in our ebooks
Our ebooks are curated guides. The patterns they feature are created and owned by independent designers, and each one is credited and linked to its original source. When you buy an ebook, you pay for our work of searching, selecting, testing the links and presenting the best projects in one illustrated guide. The rights to each pattern belong to its designer. We regularly check the links. If a designer removes or moves a pattern, we update the ebook as soon as we can.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Any taxes or fees that apply are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe, which supports cards, Link, Klarna and Affirm depending on your country. We never see or store your full card details.
- Discount codes cannot be combined unless stated otherwise, and each code can only be used under the conditions shown with it.
4. Delivery of ebooks
Your ebook is available for download right after your payment is confirmed. You will find the download link in your order confirmation email and in My Account > Downloads. If you cannot find it or a link does not work, write to us at hello@urbaki.com and we will send it to you.
5. Updates to ebooks
When we publish a new edition of an ebook you bought, you can download the updated version from your account at no extra cost.
6. Your licence to use our products
When you buy a product you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it. You may download it, print it and keep it for your own personal use. You may not resell, share, upload or distribute the files, in whole or in part. You also may not present them as your own work.
7. 60-day money-back guarantee (ebooks)
If you are not happy with an ebook for any reason, write to hello@urbaki.com within 60 days of your purchase. We will refund the full amount to your original payment method. You do not need to give a reason. We process refunds within a few business days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
Customers in the EU and UK: our 60-day guarantee is longer than the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, so you can always get your money back within 60 days of purchase. It is in addition to any other rights you have under the law.
8. The Crochet Club membership
- Free trial: new members get a 30-day free trial, unless the offer says otherwise. Your card is saved at sign-up, but you are not charged during the trial. One free trial per person.
- Monthly plan: after the trial, the membership costs the price shown at sign-up (currently $5.97 per month). It is charged automatically every month on the same day until you cancel.
- Annual plan: the price shown at sign-up (currently $49 per year), charged when you join, with no free trial. It renews automatically every year until you cancel, and we email you before each renewal. If you write to us within 30 days of an annual payment, we refund it in full.
- Cancel anytime: you can cancel in My Account > Subscriptions, or by replying to any Club email or writing to hello@urbaki.com. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged. If you cancel after a payment, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for (month or year), and you will not be charged again.
- Refunds: apart from the 30-day guarantee on the annual plan, we do not usually refund partial periods. If you were charged by mistake or forgot to cancel, write to us within 7 days of the charge and we will help you.
- Price changes: if we change the membership price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies. You can cancel before then.
9. Your account
An account is created with your purchase so you can access your downloads and memberships. Please keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Contact us if you think someone else has accessed it.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Store. For example, you must not try to access it in unauthorised ways, interfere with its operation, use stolen payment methods or redistribute our files.
11. Intellectual property
The design, texts, illustrations, covers and layout of our products and of the Store belong to URBAKI LLC. The patterns linked in our ebooks belong to their respective designers. If you are a designer and want a change made to how your work is featured, write to hello@urbaki.com. We will review it promptly.
12. Limitation of liability
Our products are provided for inspiration and personal craft projects. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites linked in our products. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with its “last updated” date, is the one that applies. Changes do not affect purchases already made.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
